Terms of Use

These terms cover your use of Moniker at moniker.lotlsoft.com, operated by Lotlsoft (ABN coming) in Melbourne, Australia. Using Moniker means you accept them. If you don't, stop using the service.
1. What Moniker is
Moniker is a naming workspace. You paste seed words or candidate names, we run linguistic look-ups, optional AI generations, feasibility checks, and anonymous audience polls. Outputs are informational - final naming, trademark, and legal decisions are yours.
2. Accounts
- Sign-in is handled by your Lotlsoft account. One account per person.
- You're responsible for activity on your account. Keep your email recovery in order.
- Email verification is required before any pass (free trial or paid) is activated, and before any AI feature can be used. We do this to stop throwaway accounts draining our AI budget.
3. Acceptable use
- Don't use Moniker to generate hateful, infringing, or illegal content.
- Don't scrape, hammer, or reverse-engineer our endpoints. Exploration and feasibility APIs are rate-limited.
- Poll voting pages are anonymous but tied to an invite token. Don't distribute tokens to people who'd abuse the system.
- Don't upload or distribute personal data about third parties through candidate names or notes.
4. Passes and payments
- A pass is a one-time purchase that unlocks unlimited AI use for a fixed duration from activation (Sprint: 7 days, Long-haul: 60 days). Passes don't auto-renew. The trial pass is a 3-day pass auto-granted once per account on email verification.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. Charges show as Lotlsoft on your statement. We don't touch card details.
- A pass is unlimited for its duration, so a single failed AI run never affects what you paid for.
- Refunds: if a purchase didn't deliver, or something went wrong on our end, email hello@lotlsoft.com and we'll comp a fresh pass or refund as appropriate. Active passes on accounts deleted on our side are not refunded - that's covered under the deletion section below.
5. AI outputs
Generated names come from a large language model. Outputs may overlap with existing brands, trademarks, or projects - that's why we show feasibility checks inline and link out to USPTO. You're responsible for confirming a name is legally available before you commit to it.
6. Privacy
See the Privacy page for what we store and why. Short version: account + project data for as long as you're using Moniker; anonymous poll votes tied to invite tokens; nothing sold, nothing sent to analytics brokers.
7. Deletion and termination
- You can delete your Lotlsoft account at any time via your account settings. Your Moniker data is orphaned and pruned during the next routine cleanup.
- We may suspend or terminate an account for abuse, fraud, or repeated ToS breaches. Where we can, we'll tell you why and give you a chance to respond.
8. Warranties and liability
Moniker is provided "as is". To the extent allowed by Australian law, we disclaim all warranties about fitness, accuracy, availability, or non-infringement. Our total liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes are dated at the top of the page. Your continued use after a change counts as acceptance.
